How We Work ยท Old Hickory, TN
Our Plumbing Process
Five steps, no surprises: the same process on every job, from a Village cottage faucet to a Hermitage sewer line.

Step 1: The Call
You call (615) 583-1830 and describe the problem, the fixture, and the timing. We ask the questions that matter: which drains are affected, whether the meter moves at rest, any rain or freeze just before. If water is moving where it should not, shutoff steps come first, before scheduling talk. You get a realistic arrival window inside Mon to Fri 7AM to 7PM or Sat 8AM to 4PM, or emergency handling after hours.
Step 2: Diagnosis in Your Home
The plumber tests where the problem lives: pressure at the meter and at fixtures, traps and vents opened as needed, a camera through the cleanout when the line is the suspect. You see the failed part, the root mass on screen, or the meter reading that proves the leak. Diagnosis ends with a named problem, never a shrug and a guessed part.

Step 3: One Written Price, Your Decision
You receive the full price for the work in writing before it begins. Approve it and we proceed. Decline it and the visit stays a diagnosis, with the findings, including camera results, yours to use for a second opinion or a later decision.
Step 4: The Work
We complete the agreed work with the checks each system demands: pressure tests on supply work, flow tests on drains, firing and vent checks on water heaters, and protection for floors and finishes throughout. In tight Village and Rayon City access, the route in is planned rather than forced.
Step 5: Verification and Notes
The job ends with a real test under real use: taps run, toilets flushed in sequence, drains flowed at full rate, heaters fired and checked. You get plain-language notes on what failed, what was done, and anything nearby that deserves watching, so the next decision starts from evidence.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does a typical visit take?
Most visits, diagnosis through verified work, fit within a single appointment. Jobs needing excavation or an ordered part get a clear plan before we leave.
Do you charge for diagnosis if I decline the work?
The visit is a diagnosis with a priced plan offered. Terms are confirmed on the call and at the door, so nothing about cost is a surprise.
Can I get a quote over the phone?
We can discuss typical considerations, but an honest quote needs the problem identified. That is what the diagnosis visit is for, and it is why we do not publish flat prices.
What if a second problem appears during the work?
We stop, show you, and price it separately for your approval. Nothing is added silently.
Do you test the work before leaving?
Always. A job is not finished until the system passes the flow, pressure, or firing check the original problem failed.
